AVP – Sales
Job Summary
The Associate Vice President – Sales will lead the execution of sales to drive revenue growth and market expansion for our IT solutions and services. This role requires a seasoned professional with 10+ years of experience in sales and marketing, preferably within the IT industry, to spearhead client acquisition, brand positioning, and market penetration strategies. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of achieving sales targets, building high-performance teams, and fostering long-term client relationships.
Qualifications: Master’s degree in Business Administration along with graduation in Computers/IT or its equivalent.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in sales and marketing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the IT industry.
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth and achieving sales targets in B2B IT services or software solutions.
- Extensive experience in developing and executing go-to-market strategies for IT products/services.
- Established network of industry contacts and partnerships within the IT ecosystem.
- Strong understanding of IT industry trends, including cybersecurity, SaaS, and managed services.
- Expertise in digital marketing, CRM tools and analytics platforms.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales and marketing strategies aligned with company goals.
- Identify new market opportunities, industry trends, and competitive landscapes to drive business growth.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to define revenue targets and go-to-market strategies for IT products and services.
- Sales Leadership:
- Lead the sales team to achieve and exceed revenue targets through effective pipeline management and deal closure.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders in the IT industry.
- Handle the development of proposals, presentations, and contracts to secure large-scale IT projects.
- Performance Tracking and Reporting:
- Monitor and analyze sales and marketing KPIs to measure effectiveness and optimize strategies.
- Provide regular reports to senior leadership on revenue performance, market trends, and strategic initiatives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with product development, delivery, and customer success teams to ensure client satisfaction and repeat business.
- Partner with finance to develop pricing models and budget plans for sales and marketing activities.
